Additions:

  • Stats Manager to hold the current stats of the user.
  • XP pickup, that when collected will add one to the XP count.
  • Coin pickup, that when collected will add one to the Coin count.
  • Nuke pickup, that when collected will kill all of the enemies.
  • Vacuum pickup, that when collected will bring all pickups to the player.
  • Food pickup, that will increase the health of the player.
  • XP, Coin, Nuke, Vacuum, & Food icons.
  • Pickup Movement, that will lerp the position of the pickup to the position of the player if in a certain range.
  • Pickup Pooler to handle the spawning of the pickups.

Changes:

  • changed enemy health script to spawn an XP pickup when the enemy dies.

Removed features / Replaced features:

Thoughts:

I like how this system turned out, and have also made in a way where adding new elements should be easy. I plan to now create the passives and the perk systems, that will allow me to start working on the the game loop when finished because once these systems are done and in place fully I can implement the level up system that is one of the main features of the game.
