Additions:

  • Weapon Level Scriptable object that will contain the current level of each weapon.

Changes:

  • new fire method for the knife in the Weapon class that will allow for custom pierce count.
  • Pistol levels, going from 1 bullet to 2 bullets and the final level having 3 bullets.
  • Shotgun Levels, increasing the amount of bullets fired on each level.
  • Orbs Levels, increasing the amount of orbs that go around the player. 4,6,12 for each level.
  • Drone Levels, +1 drone each level.
  • Rocket levels same as pistol levels +1 projectile each level.
  • Knife Levels, increased pierces each level.
  • Acid Levels, increase in size each level.
  • Lightning Levels, increase in targets each level.
  • Cannon Levels, Increase in bullets fired each level, 2, 4, 8 for each level.
  • Shield Levels, increase the amount of hits the shield can take.

Removed features / Replaced features:

Thoughts:

I with how this system turned out, it ended up being rather simple and all I needed to do was create the upgraded attacks for each of the weapons, as well as this I have also made this system with expansion in mind with with the creation of more weapons being relatively simple. with all of the weapon upgrades finished I can finally move on to the development of the main aspect of the game, the upgrade system, which when done should be all of the gameplay mechanics finished, with only the menus to make after that.
